Earlier this month, Brown Harris Stevens Hamptons Broker Cristina Matos attended the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (LeadingRE) Global Symposium, which occurred in tandem with the start of Expo Dubai 2020.

The event included several speakers who are leaders in economics and real estate, including LeadingRE’s Chief Economist and former CNBC Chief Economist Dr. Marci Rossell, who provided valuable insight on the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy, as well as macro-level trends in real estate to anticipate as a result.

“The conference is an exciting opportunity because it gives you the opportunity to connect with a diverse array of markets, which enriches your perspective on global real estate,” Matos reflected.

The “five-star experience,” as she called it, included tours of noteworthy properties in Dubai—which many consider to be emblematic of luxury real estate—as well as unique excursions, both to Expo Dubai and to the desert for camel riding.

In addition to offering Matos a unique opportunity to experience the city of Dubai and all it has to offer, she also was able to build valuable relationships with professionals from all over the world.

“The global network alone is of tremendous value,” she said. “This business is all about relationships and connections.”
