5 Queens Restaurants to Try During NYC Restaurant Week 2022

Updated: Aug 7, 2022

Did you know Queens is the largest borough in New York City in terms of land area? It comprises 101.8 square miles—nearly five times the size of Manhattan! Along with its size, the borough is known for its quaint, family-friendly neighborhoods and is home to a variety of museums, attractions, and of course—restaurants!

As we are only in the middle of the 30th edition of NYC Restaurant Week, you still have time to acquaint yourself with the flavors of Queens. To help, here are five great restaurants offering meal specials in the borough through August 21.

Forest Hills

The warm, rustic ambiance of Tuscan Hills is enhanced by its homestyle Italian fare. A must-try is the Caciucco all Livornese, the restaurant's signature dish. It is a traditional Italian fish stew cooked in a light yet zesty tomato sauce and baked in a flaky crust.

Astoria

Helmed by proprietors who spent decades working in Manhattan's finest steakhouses, it's no wonder Meet the Meat has garnered a loyal following among Queens residents. For Restaurant Week, enjoy the steakhouse's Sautéed Mussels as an appetizer before sinking your teeth into a juicy New York Strip, served with a side of caramelized shallots.

Forest Hills

Few restaurants in NYC capture the spirit and flavor of Cuban cuisine quite like Guantanamera. For Restaurant Week, you can try Guantanamera's versions of classics like Arroz con Pollo or the hearty Masitas de Puerco, which features crispy, golden chunks of pork in an aromatic cumin marinade.

Jackson Heights

Just as the name implies, Addictive's wine and cuisine offerings will have you craving a return visit.

Its Restaurant Week menu includes Salmon Picatta marinated with spices, white wine, butter, and lemon, served over sautéed spinach and chickpeas.

Forest Hills

Offering Asian-fusion cuisine that honors the traditions of several cultures, MoCa's expert chefs are known for their attention to detail and photo-worthy dish presentations. For Restaurant Week, we recommend the Tempura Sampler followed by the wok-fried Bangkok Basil Beef.
