An Interview with Will Zeckendorf, the Third Generation of a Renowned New York Real Estate Family

Updated: Aug 9, 2021

A third-generation developer, Will Zeckondorf’s record of success in the real estate market in New York City is unmatched.

As the co-owner, founder, and co chairman of Zeckendorf Development, LLC, as well as the co-chairman of Brown Harris Stevens, Will has successfully managed and overseen over 300 buildings in New York City, including 520 Park Avenue and 15 Central Park West — referred to as the “limestone Jesus,” given its record for the highest price per square foot for a condo resale ever.

Will recently sat down with our CEO Bess Freedman for her new interview series, The Lead, where he discussed a variety of topics, including his family’s business, notable transactions, and tips for success.

From his grandfather’s work in bringing the United Nations to New York to Will’s extensive music collection, the interview provides viewers with unique insight into the mind of one of the most successful real estate developers in New York history.
