October in the Hamptons is more than farm stands, pumpkin picking, ghosts, and goblins (although we have our fair share). Indoors or out, in-person or virtual, there are so many events to choose from. Here's a selection of 31 of fun activities to enjoy in October 2021.

Bridgehampton


The Bridgehampton Association’s Annual Golf Outing will take place at the Bridgehampton Club and include lunch and prizes. Proceeds benefit the Bridgehampton community.

October 14: Hitched on Art

Did you know Hitchcock recreated 20th-century masterpieces in his films? Enjoy a virtual presentation and learn where Hitchcock created the art and which artists he was most fond of.

Join a philosophical discussion that will probe the emergence of Postmodernism from the era of Modernism and see how it plays out in every aspect of our current culture.


Fall Bird Migration at Promised Land - Amagansett

An expert birder will take you on an excursion to Promised Land, the perfect location to observe our songbirds during their late fall migration.

Watch Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride," a stop-motion animated musical fantasy film set in a fictional Victorian-era village in England.

October 25: Writing with Wade

Join actor/playwright Wade Dooley, the creator of Bay Street’s "The Prompter," for a weekly writing salon. Share your work weekly and get feedback from Wade and your fellow students.


Sag Harbor


You don’t need to be funny to take this class. Just be open to fun and join improv master Scott Baker to learn both short-form and character-development improvisation techniques.


Halloween Cupcake Wars - Southampton

This creative and tasty crafts activity designed for the fall season lets you create your own spooky cupcakes and compete for prizes.


October 28: Dogs of Chernobyl

Get a personal look, through rare videos and photos, at the dogs who descended from the pets left behind after the nuclear accident of 1986.

Unfurl those capes, shine your tiara, and break out the face paint for the Halloween Bash. Families are invited to join a fun-filled evening of ghoulish games, trick or treating, creepy crafts, and more.

Bring your best-dressed dog to Agawam Park and then a parade through the Village. There will be costume awards, raffles, celebrity judges, live music, food, vendors, and more. All proceeds will go to the Kent Animal Shelter.


October 31: Tripleheader Hike

North Fork, Multiple Locations


Spend the day on the North Fork with three short hikes in beautiful Suffolk County parks, first at Inlet Pond, then Dam Pond, and finally Orient Point.
