In honor of today, #GivingTuesday, we are spotlighting various philanthropic efforts in our various communities, all of which could use your support
For those who do not know, #GivingTuesday was started to inspire positive change and community engagement worldwide. Taking place each year at the start of the holiday season, it acts as a reminder to help those who are less fortunate during a time often associated with indulgence and materialism.
Here are several of our offices' current initiatives.
New York
Brown Harris Stevens' philanthropic arm, BHS Helping Hands is partnering with New York Cares for our 9th annual Coat Drive, running from November 29 through December 31. Coats can be donated to one of the following BHS offices and monetary donations can be made via the link below that will be used to purchase coats for those in need.
New Jersey
Brown Harris Stevens New Jersey is also participating in a coat drive, done in conjunction with Toni's Kitchen and The Human Needs Food Pantry. Coats can be dropped off at the BHS Hoboken and Montclair offices through December 31st.
Our Montclair Office is participating in a Toy Drive spearheaded by Montclair Agent Alison Maguire.
Please bring new, unwrapped toys for ages 3 and up to our Montclair Office.
Toys will be donated to the Human Needs Pantry in Montlair, NJ.

Lastly Our Hoboken Office is working with Our Lady of Grace Church to support families in need with donations ranging from clothing, food, gift cards and toys.
Connecticut
Brown Harris Stevens Connecticut is participating in the Person to Person Virtual Holiday Toy Drive. The easiest way to donate a gift is through monetary donations, which will be used to fulfill toy requests, gift cards and more.
We are accepting donations at all of our CT offices through December.
The Hamptons
Brown Harris Stevens' Hamptons agents will be participating in a drive for Toys for Tots and delivering the toys to one of the local collection centers.
Donations will be accepted at any of our offices in the Hamptons through December 15.
South Florida
Brown Harris Stevens' agents in our Miami offices will be donating to Feeding South Florida. Every agent will donate $5, totaling $700, which will then be matched by BHS Helping Hands. Each meal equals $1 and a total of $1400 will be donated. Click the link below to learn more and donate.
Last but certainly not least, our Palm Beach office is collecting toy donations for the Pediatric Oncology patients at Palm Beach Children's Hospital.
