Once considered a busy, commercial street that feeds to and from the Verrazzano Bridge, Park Slope, Brooklyn’s Fourth Avenue is now drawing the attention of developers looking to capitalize on the borough’s popularity, which has only enhanced in recent years.

Now flanked with restaurants and high-end shopping, the avenue is also home to various new and upcoming residential development projects that are highly sought-after. Buyers are flocking to the area for its centralized location and luxury housing offerings.

Among the latest new developments gaining popularity along the avenue is Six Garfield, with more than 50 percent of its residences now in contract.

“People find it to be an exciting time to buy on Fourth Avenue in Park Slope,” said Brendan Aguayo, managing director and head of The Aguayo Team at Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing, which handles sales and marketing for the project. “In addition to Brooklynites, we are seeing buyers from Manhattan and outside of New York choose Six Garfield for these reasons as well as the smart layouts, many of which have outdoor space and expansive space for live/work/play needs.”

Developed by New Empire Real Estate, the DXA Studio-designed luxury condominium topped out last year and is anticipating occupancy this spring 2022.

Located just a block away from 5th Avenue—one of the most frequented roads in Park Slope for shopping and dining—the building's convenient location also allows residents ease of access to local schools, the Gowanus art scene.

Six Garfield is a perfect example of what is driving demand in the new development sphere, with buyers prioritizing a vibrant location balanced with luxe amenities and spacious living arrangements.
