What to Watch and Where to Watch It

Updated: Sep 29, 2020

If you’re like us, finding the time to watch the shows that your friends and family have been raving about has been challenging and your “Watch List” has grown longer than a CVS receipt (that means it's long, very long). Luckily for us, a number of streaming services are offering free trials, early releases and adding back the oldies to help us out while we have some new free time on our hands. Here’s what we’ll be watching and where.

Theatre Shows

If you’re an avid theatre-goer or have watching a Broadway play on your bucket list, look no further. BroadwayHD is currently offering a 7-day free trial on the streaming service, allowing people to watch performances from Broadway and other elite theatre venues, all from the comfort of their own homes! Take advantage and watch Orlando Bloom and Condola Rashad in Romeo and Juliet, the uplifting musical Kinky Boots, the Tony-nominated revival of the classical tale of Peter Pan, and many more musicals, plays and ballets. Check out the top 10 list.

Amazon for Kids

Amazon has made its portion of Prime Video Kids and family programming free. As of a few days ago, 40 family and kids’ shows have been made available to stream on Prime Video for all customers, including those who don't have Prime memberships - all you need is an Amazon account.

From the Big Screen to Your Computer

Many films that were scheduled to hit the big screen this spring are headed to digital streaming distributors instead, some with early release dates. In addition to early releases, a number of movie studios are releasing films that have already hit the theaters earlier this year without waiting the required 90-day period. See the list of films, release dates and where you can watch them.

Streaming Services Offering Longer Free Trials

Get ready to throw your next Netflix Party, possibly for free! If you don't have a subscription to a streaming service, or were thinking about trying out a new one, now is the time. Plenty of services are offering 30-day free trials, some even 90-day, while others are offering specials deals and promotions. See which service works for you.
