With Chanukah beginning early this year, now is the perfect time to explore holiday festivities being held in honor of the eight-day celebration. While both NYC and South Florida offer a multitude of options, here are some standout events worth exploring.

New York City

Manhattan and Brooklyn

November 28 - December 5

See the largest menorah in the world lit in honor of Chanukah beginning Sunday, November 28 at 5:30pm. There is a counterpart event at Brooklyn's Grand Army Plaza that runs throughout the holiday as well.

Wollman Rink (Central Park)

Noted as the largest Chanukah celebration in the city, the event features live entertainment, kosher food, and a hand-carved ice menorah.

The production will showcase the works of premier Jewish musical theatre writers as they each present a brand new, original song in honor of the holiday.

South Beach

For each night of Chanukah, Miami Beach’s Chabad House will be lighting their giant menorah on Lincoln Road. The events will also include live music, special doughnuts, latkes and activities.

North Miami Beach

Celebrate the groundbreaking of Chabad Chayhil's new educational center with this fun-filled Chanukah event, which will feature entertainment, face painting, refreshments, and more.

Downtown Miami

December 1

Join the Key Biscayne Jewish Community for this exciting evening of basketball. The event includes a pre-game menorah lighting and a jewish musical performance, in addition to Kosher food vendors.

Palm Beach County

Palm beach - Chanukah

November 29 - December 1

From dreidel games to delicious donuts and latkes, this three-day event is perfect for the whole family.

West Palm Beach

December 5

Hosted by the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, this free event will feature the talents of TikTok dancers and local DJs, along with a candle lighting ceremony and volunteer opportunities.

Singer Island

November 28

Celebrate the start of Chanukah with a catered dinner and menorah lighting, all with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop.
